Ranked 19th on the Fortune 500, Cardinal Health employs more than 40,000 people, develops market leading technologies, manufactures medical and surgical products and is one of the largest distributors of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies worldwide. Over the past few years, Cardinal Health has grown substantially in Canada due to the rising demand for affordable healthcare products.
We learned that Cardinal needed to establish a Canadian headquarters and worked with their leadership team to locate them in an office building in Vaughan, Ontario, which had previously been leased to Magna. We responded promptly and positively, committing to them that we could get them into the building on an extremely tight time frame and could construct a 10,000 sq. ft. expansion to accommodate future growth. We delivered the building and the expansion on time and on budget. |

For over 45 years, Trench has been designing and manufacturing products critical to the transmission and distribution of electrical power. Trench operates twelve manufacturing locations worldwide. In 2004, Trench was acquired by the international powerhouse Siemens AG and is now a member of the Siemens Power Transmission and Distribution Group.
In Canada, Trench was outgrowing one of its manufacturing facilities and needed additional space to expand their manufactoring capacity. We worked closely with the Trench design team to plan out necessary renovations and we also carefully sequenced work, allowing Trench to set up and test its equipment while construction was still underway. MID managed the entire upgrading process and delivered the facility as promised, on time and on budget.

Peer 1 is a publicly traded leading online IT hosting provider, offering a reliable high performance internet network and a range of hosting and network services. Since 1999, Peer 1 has grown to include 16 state-of-the-art data centres in North America and points-of-presence in Europe. Peer 1 now has over 10,000 customers and 17,000 dedicated servers.
MID met with Peer 1 to discuss retrofitting an existing MID building to serve as a new data centre that could meet their very specific and detailed needs. Working together, we developed a layout for the property and collaborated in obtaining the necessary local approvals for the required high tech improvements. Peer 1 intends to invest millions of dollars modifying the facility, confident that as they grow, MID is the right partner to carry out necessary expansions.
